Peter is an award winning author. His two books, TROUT & Salmon Lakes of CT & How To Fish Them, and The INNERMOST WATERS: Fishing Cape Cod’s Ponds & Lakes, were judged 1st PLACE, BEST BOOK, ALL OUTDOOR CATEGORIES, NEW ENGLAND-WIDE, by the New England Outdoor Writers Association, the first and only author to be so honored, twice, by America’s oldest outdoor writers association.

Numerous magazine &  newspaper articles, weekly fishing columns, and photography of his were also cited for excellence by NEOWA.

Formerly on the faculty, Founder & Executive Director of (CT) Wesleyan Univerity’s Great Hollow Wilderness School, and Director of the Upward Bound Project which was twice selected as a National Model Program by the USDE, Peter has been the recipient of local, state, regional and national awards for his achievements in advancing equal educational opportunity for low income youth.

Born in Cambridge, MA, he grew up fishing with his three younger brothers and friends in nearby industrial canals. Peter has earned an undergraduate degree from Boston College and advanced degrees from Southern CT State University and Harvard University. He was nominated by the faculty and inducted into Phi Delta Kappa, the graduate school national honor society. He and his wife, Elinor, live seasonally at their homes in Cambridge & Cape Cod MA.
